

Scholarship overview
Made possible by the generous contribution of an anonymous donor through The NewSchool Arts Foundation, The Emerging Visionary Designer Scholarship is established to recognize and support exceptional creative talent. This fund is dedicated to incoming undergraduate students beginning their academic journey in specific design disciplines at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design in Fall 2026.
eligibility requirements
To be considered for this award, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Term of Entry: Must be a new, incoming undergraduate student enrolling for the Fall 2026 term.
Eligible Programs: Must be officially admitted into one of the following design degree programs:

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Graphic Design and Interactive Media

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Product Design
Application Requirement:
Must fully complete and submit the official online scholarship application prior to the enrollment deadline.
Awards details & disbursement

Total Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per recipient.

Disbursement Structure: The awarded funds will be divided and applied equally across the student’s first four consecutive quarters of enrollment (up to $2,500 per quarter) and paid directly to the institution.

Reviewability: This is a non-renewable award. The scholarship is strictly limited to the initial four quarters of the
student's program and cannot be extended into subsequent academic years.
Scholarship Maintenance standards
To ensure continuous disbursement of the award across the four quarters, recipients must adhere to the following institutional standards:

Academic Standing: Recipients must continuously meet the minimum academic standards and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by the NewSchool of Architecture & Design.

Continuous Enrollment: Students must remain actively enrolled in their original qualifying design program (B.S. in Graphic Design and Interactive Media or B.A. in Product Design). Transferring to a non-qualifying major, withdrawing,
or taking an unapproved leave of absence will result in the immediate forfeiture of any remaining, undisbursed scholarship funds.
